Hypnosis – Combining the Mind-Body Connection with the Power of Suggestion

Although it is not suited to every client, the awareness and validity of the mind body connection becomes more and more clear over the years.  Through hypnosis a therapist guides a client to a state of complete relaxation which feels much like the beginning stage of falling asleep, when one has little flutters of dreams.  In this state the subconscious is highly receptive to suggestions.  So receptive in fact that hypnosis is believed to have a profound impact on several areas of medicine, psychology, and dentistry.

What I find to be most helpful to clients is combining the theory of Internal Family Systems with the skill of hypnosis.  I find this combination leads to insight and awareness while reinforcing the message to the subconscious to maintain a healthier state of functioning.
